THATCHER'S CIDER
X
FARMER'S WEEKLY
Branded Documentary & Social Video
Some traditions don't need reinventing. They just need the right lens. Every January, something altogether older happens at Myrtle Farm. The Mendip Morris lead a procession into the orchard. Cider is poured over roots. Toast is hung in branches. Songs are sung, and the apple trees are woken from their winter sleep. Thatchers have been Wassailing here since 1904 and it remains one of the most distinctive rituals in British food and drink. We partnered with Thatchers and Farmers Weekly to document it properly. A YouTube documentary captures the ceremony, its pagan roots, and the community that keeps it alive. A short-form companion brings the energy to social. This was about preservation as much as production.
